The letters from 1911 to 1916 are all handwritten in German from Ferenczi to Jones. They include discussions about various aspects of psychoanalytical theory, details of various visits and translation of Ferenczi's work into English.
In the later correspondence, from 1921 to 1923, there is reference to the personal and professional conflict between them. Also included are discussions of Ferenczi's analysis of Jones, Ferenczi's analysands, Freud's health and the denial of analysis to Mrs Lydia Rickman, wife of John Rickman.
