Much of material in this collection relates to Gillespie's writing and teaching work; this includes published and unpublished papers, speeches and lectures (many focusing on the history of psychoanalysis) as well as obituaries, book reviews and notes for discussions of papers presented by his colleagues. There is also a considerable quantity of papers and offprints received from other authors. Also included are papers related to Gillespie's work with the International Psychoanalytical Association, British Psychoanalytical Society and 'International Journal of Psychoanalysis', as well as a small amount of correspondence and CVs, bibliographies and other material related to his career.

Klauber's psychoanalytic writings, patient case notes and professional and personal papers.

The bulk of this collection is material related to Klauber's literary output and lectures, including books, papers and teaching material on various psychoanalytic themes, as well as comments on the works of colleagues. Also included are: patient case notes from Klauber's work as a psychotherapist at the Middlesex Hospital; papers relating to various professional bodies and Klauber’s career; and a small amount of personal and posthumous material.

Papers regarding Marion Burgner's activities within the British Psychoanalytical Society (material related to the Contemporary Freudian Group and the Meetings of Training Analysts, plus teaching notes), as well as copies of papers by psychoanalytic colleagues.

The documents comprise papers, correspondence and notes amassed during Little's long career in psychoanalysis. There is a series relating to D W Winnicott and her analysis with him. There is also a series relating to her painting which includes several original works.

Published articles by W S Inman, mostly focusing on his interest in psychosomatic symptoms, particularly in conditions affecting the eyes. The first series comprises copies of papers which were gathered for publication by Mr Noel Bradley and which are accompanied by Mr Bradley's notes on this process. The second series contains pamphlets and offprints of Inman's works, possibly received from a different source.
