Correspondence between the Stracheys and their publishers (primarily The Hogarth Press, Imago Publishing, George Allen & Unwin and Routledge & Kegan Paul but also others), some of their collaborators (most notably Ernst Freud, representing Sigmund Freud Copyrights) and their respective legal representatives. The correspondence concerns the translation, editing and publication of the 'Standard Edition' and other editions of the works of Sigmund Freud, plus original works by both Alix and James Strachey. Also included are contracts, agreements and legal and financial documentation, including papers relating to copyright issues and the payment of royalties.

A booklet, minus its cover, entitled 'A Plain and Full Account of the Christian Practices Observed by the Church in St Martin's-le-Grand, London', dated 1767; a book of music entitled 'Nursery Lyrics' with music by Oliver Strachey, words by Lady Strachey, published in 1903; a booklet entitled 'A Chronology of Cyprus' by Sir Ronald Storrs, Governor of Cyprus, published in 1930, inside of which is a handwritten dedication, possibly to Lytton Strachey.
