Two typescript papers.
Papers related to the planning of the conference, including minutes of the Organising Committee and records of invited speakers, financial administration etc, plus reports regarding the organisation of the same event in 1976. The papers were arranged by subject headings and this order has been retained.
The conference was held in London in October 1976 and had the themes of pain and analyses that cannot be termintated. The documents include a conference programme; related papers by Herbert Rosenfeld, Betty Joseph, Ruth Riesenberg and J-B Pontalis.
The documensts comprise cutting of a photograph of the actor Patrick Stewart who played Henry IV, 'The Observer', 9 May 1982; cutting of a 'Guardian' interview with author William Golding, 8 October 1983; cutting of an article by John Harvey entitled ‘The divine and secular’, 21 July 1977; photocopy of an article by Charlotte Bronte entitled ‘Strange Events’ and Milner’s notes.

Two typescripts. The earlier article is written for an unidentified publication and is accompanied by additional notes. The later article is a contribution to the 'Encyclopaedia Britannica' and is accompanied by an extract from the encyclopaedia which includes Gillespie's article, 'Later developments'.
Encyclopaedia entries on Sigmund Freud and various psychoanalytical and psychological subjects.
Several empty folders with the titles of additional papers written on the covers and, in most cases, a slip of paper inside with brief publication details of the paper.
