Lenghty correspondence between Jones and his second wife, Kitty. The letters starting in 1919 discuss arrangements for obtaining a work visa for Kitty to begin as Jones’ secretary. These are followed by numerous love letters, before and after their marriage in the same year. Many letters were written while the couple were separated for work or domestic reasons; in general the letters are concerning their children, family health concerns and financial and domestic arrangements, as well as travel and professional issues with patients and colleagues.

The earliest items are discussions with Karl Abraham regarding the early development of the psychoanalytical movement, which are followed by correspondence with his wife, Hedwig Abraham, after his death. The later items are correspondence with Hedwig and Hilda Abraham (their daughter) regarding Jones' research for his biography of Freud.
Handwritten text of two lectures, with some loose notes and a brief letter, dated 1954, from the psychoanalyst John Padel.
The first letter is a request, by Menninger, for sources and articles on psychoanalysis for abstraction and use in a neuropsychiatric journal. The correspondence between 1943-1946 is regarding the proceedings of the American Psychoanalytic Association (of which Menninger had been elected President), with particular reference to the resignation of Karen Horney and matters concerning Gregory Zilboorg. The later letters express appreciation of Jones' biography of Freud and his visits to the USA.
