Freud and the Psychoanalysis of History.
The earliest letter is regarding a business plan to fund the publication of the Standard Edition of Freud's works. The later correspondence, 1952 to 1958, is regarding financial and research support for Jones' biography of Freud from the Sigmund Freud Archives, New York, of which Eissler was a director. Also included are congratulatory letters from his wife, Ruth Eissler, regarding the Freud biography.
The documents comprise typescripts headed ‘The Faecal Bride: Antecedents and Motifs of the Orpheus Myth’, 1963; ‘The Figure of the Alter-Ego in Paranoia and Male Homosexuality’, 1962; ‘The Inability to Learn Foreign Languages’; The Sorcerer’s Apprentice: The Fear of the Loss of Control’.
The documents comprise 2 copies of the journal which includes a short description of the work of Margaret Little; related lettter.
