Handwritten notebooks containing Daly's analyses of his dreams and other notes including preparation for his published works. Subjects covered include pregnancy, menstruation, castration, the Oedipus complex and his own analyses with Freud and Ferenczi. Also included are occasional drafts of letters and notes on domestic matters.
Many entries in the journals are undated and two books are entirely without dates. Additionally, not all entries appear to be chronological. Several of the notebooks contain loose sheets which are often a continuation of journal entries.
