Newspaper and journal articles from the UK, the USA, Australia and India, reviewing or referencing Jones' various studies of Hamlet. Also included are a small number of related articles probably collected by Jones during his research.
Typed papers relating to the 'Index Project', instigated by Dorothy Burlingham, to compile a psychoanalytic index of case material at the Hampstead Clinic.
There are distinct series of cards. One set shows different shops with blank boxes underneath; one set shows two girls engaged in different activities; one set with holes punched for a folder shows illustrations of various activities, text-based questions, anecdotes, puzzles and abstract images; another set shows small children engaged in various activities. There is an envelope labelled 'Pictorial Likenesses & Differences' that contains eight cut outs of different line drawings of shapes and objects.
These were presumably used by Ilse Hellman to stimulate children's play/ work. The cards may have been illustrated by her.
Many of the notes are Milner revisiting the book after publication, including a large envelope of notes made in 1977.
