Typescript and handwritten notes; related cuttings.
Paper read at the Chicago Institute of Psycho-Analysis in 1959. A second, heavily annotated copy of the paper, included here, was originally found with the papers relating to the 'Workshops on Short-Term Psychotherapy and Psychiatric Interviews', held by Michael Balint (see P07-F), and may possibly have been read by Main as his contribution to one of the workshops.
There are notes from Scientific Meetings of the British Psychoanalytical Society; 1952 Club lectures.
The conference was held at the Royal Garden Hotel, London, 13th to 15th October 1972. The notebook also has other later notes connected with the profession, including some headed 'Andre Green'.
Many of the notes have been revisited and annotated by Marion Milner at a later date.
The documents comprise a typescript and one page of accompanying handwritten notes.
One letter to and from Margaret Little, plus notes apparently taken during a meeting with her. Also similar notes regarding Marion Milner, plus a photocopy of typed comments by Milner about Payne.
