The majority of the correspondence between 1920 and 1923 concerns the translation, editing and publication of articles, reviews and books by various psychoanalytic journals including discussion of cost and subscriptions from members of the International Psychoanalytical Association. It also covers shipment of books to other societies, primarily in the USA. There are discussions about using commercial publishers instead of the not-for-profit press and the merits of different translators.

Other topics discussed are the deaths of Freud’s daughter, Sophie, and Jones’ father as well as arrangements for congresses .

There is one letter in 1954 from Beata Rank giving details of Otto Rank’s life for Jones’ biography of Freud.

Amongst all these discussions are frequent references to significant figures in psychoanalysis, including Sigmund Freud, Max Eitingon, A A Brill, Hans Sachs, Joan Riviere and Eric Hiller.
