Material regarding Rickman's work for 'The Lancet', an unpublished entry in the 'Chambers's Encyclopaedia' and a project to develop a subject index of psychoanalytical literature.

Margaret Little tended to revise and republish papers in the light of new experiences and the reactions of others. Many of the papers catalogued here were also published again in 'Transference Neurosis and Transference Psychosis'. This development can be seen in some of the files. The documents are catalogued chronologically.

Articles, lectures, speeches and other papers by Gillespie, some with associated correspondence or other material. The papers cover various psychoanalytic themes and the history of psychoanalysis and also include speeches given by Gillespie in his official capacities. Some individual lectures are included but further material related to Gillespie's teaching activities can be found in P16-A-D.

Many items are undated and dates have been ascribed by consulting other documents in the collection, as well as there bibliography in Gillespie's book, 'Life, Sex and Death'. Incomplete papers have been placed in a single file at the end of the sequence, with the exception of the paper 'Reminiscences' (1990), which is accompanied by related correspondence.
